Supervision & Oversight: Volunteers will work under the oversight of the Facilities Manager or designated staff. All tasks will have a plan, especially for work in elevated areas, near water, or on uneven terrain. Volunteers are expected to bring appropriate clothing, stay hydrated, use sunscreen, etc. Incident Reporting: Any safety incidents, injuries, or near misses must be reported immediately to camp leadership. Volunteer shifts or assignments must be confirmed in writing (email or sign-up form) ahead of scheduled work. If you need to cancel your volunteer assignment, please notify Camp Kirkwood at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance whenever possible. Cancellations less than 72 hours before the scheduled time may make it harder to reorganize tasks or assign labor; we appreciate prompt communication. In emergencies or due to weather or health issues, notify as soon as possible; we will work with you to reschedule or reassign tasks.
